Touch down in Australia!
Melbourne was top of my list to visit, and to coincide a stop with the Australian Open tennis. My auntie and uncle also joined me here from Perth.
The city itself had a great vibe with business people, tourists and the noticeable sound of trams going up and down the main streets. So much to see and explore, the Fitzroy gardens, Flinders Street Station, Eureka Skydeck 88, Yarra River and lots of shops - there was something for everyone. The free tram zone around the main city centre makes it easy to hop on and off as often as you like.
Highlights for me had to be the ‘Street Art’ tours which you can discover on your own. Hosier Lane in particular is famous for its vivid graffiti. Degraves street - very narrow laneway bustling with people was fantastic for some breakfast (eggs benedict was awesome!).
Other tops things to see/do:
Visit the State Library Victoria.
Take a trip up the Eureka Skydeck 88 and watch the sunset over Melbourne.
Go to the Queen Victoria Market - lots of fresh produce & hand made gifts.
