Down to the Sunshine Coast... to Noosa!

One of my favourite stops on my trip, and somewhere I would love to return back to. A real surf vibe, beautiful main beach, Hastings Street shopping, National Park walk and delicious beachside restaurants.

The Lookout Resort was my accommodation for the 4 nights, a secluded, luxury, fully equipped 4* apartment and a very convenient walkway down onto Hastings Street. I wandered down to the beach around sunset on my first evening and was amazed at the dolphins swimming around everyone in the sea!

Lit trees, cute boutique shops, buzzing restaurants, boardwalk strolls - Hastings Street is the heart of Noosa. Swimwear, summer dresses, leather footwear, accessories, I bought some beautiful clothing here! Shopping heaven!

As for the local restaurants, cafes and bars, there is a huge variety depending on what you fancy! Being on my own for this part of my trip, I had a casual dinner one evening in Cafe le Monde. Recommended by a friend, something new for me was a poke bowl from Coconut Head. In touch with the 'surf vibe', Coconut Head is a superfood bar on Hastings St. Offering a wide variety of poke bowls, smoothies, granola cups, wraps and pressed juices, the menu features lots of fresh, healthy options, including plant based.

Australia Zoo a 55 minute drive from Noosa was an awesome day trip and on my list "to visit". Home of The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, the zoo really highlights his amazing work and legacy. I loved the reptile encounters and photo's you could have at the entrance, the Wildlife Warriers Show at the Crocoseum, Roo Heaven - a huge walk-through enclosure to feed the Kangaroo's and the Tiger Temple show. They also offer Animal Encounters, with wombats, cheetahs, echidna's, elephants and more. These become booked-up very quickly on opening due to limited numbers so be sure to book this as soon as you enter!

Top things to do:

* Take a morning walk around Noosa National Park - walk the coastal walk & keep an eye out for dolphins!

* Grab a poke bowl from Coconut Head!

* Spend the day at Australia Zoo - book an Animal Encounter.

* Relax, sunbathe on Noosa's Main beach.
